The Association

Founded on August 16, 2016, the Associação Zoo Melhor emerged from the desire of several lovers of the Sapucaia do Sul Zoo to help this important institution for biodiversity conservation, environmental education, research and leisure. Currently, the positions of president and vice-president are held by biologists Eduardo Polanczyk da Silva and Vanessa Souza Silva, respectively.

To achieve our goals, we run campaigns to collect donations and materials for renovations, create teaching materials, etc.

The Better Zoo Association is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve animal welfare rates, as well as expand conservation efforts for endangered species and environmental education. We also seek to adapt the park's structures with the aim of increasing accessibility for people with special needs.

Mission

Promote improvements in the structures of the Zoological Park of the Rio Grande do Sul Zoobotanical Foundation, seeking excellence in the management of animals under human care, in the conservation of endangered species and in the promotion of environmental education as well as social inclusion.
