The zoo houses animals that come from seizures, victims of accidents, mistreatment, abandonment, and trafficking.

Often, the animals arrive weakened, sick, and injured. They are treated, and those that are able to return to nature are released, while others need to remain under human care because they are unable to survive alone in the wild.
